Summary:

Additional Educational Needs Teacher needed at a leading international school in Singapore. Start in August 2026.

The Opportunity:

As an Additional Educational Needs Teacher, you will support students with diverse learning needs through inclusive and proactive teaching practices. You will work within a collaborative team to ensure students thrive academically and personally, while contributing to the development of inclusive programming across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a tiered systems approach through early intervention, targeted small-group work, co-teaching and in-class support.
  • Collect and analyse cognitive, academic, emotional and behavioural data to inform effective interventions.
  • Develop and review individual education plans (IEPs) in partnership with teachers and parents.
  • Collaborate with pastoral, academic and specialist staff to enhance inclusive practice across the school.
  • Contribute to the strategic development of inclusive provision, co-planning, and professional learning.
  • Work with external agencies (e.g. psychologists, therapists) to ensure coordinated support.
  • Support students in Years 9–11 with access arrangements, ensuring compliance with JCQ and Cambridge regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognised qualification in Special or Inclusive Education.
  • Experience supporting students with additional needs in school settings.
  • Skill in interpreting psychoeducational assessments and developing IEPs.
  • Understanding of tiered intervention systems and ability to use data effectively.
  • Experience in co-teaching, flexible grouping and differentiated instruction.

Preferred

  • Experience in international or multilingual contexts.
  • Experience working with outside professionals to support student well-being and learning.
  • Experience in interdisciplinary team collaboration to enhance student learning and wellbeing.
