The Opportunity:

A Mathematics Teacher Year 5 to 8 is sought to deliver engaging and effective lessons that challenge and inspire students. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners within a thriving educational community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Mathematics across Year 5–Year 8 in line with the British curriculum.
  • Create and deliver stimulating and rigorous lessons that support and stretch all learners.
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of progressive teaching strategies.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive and timely feedback.
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils in developing strong numeracy, problem-solving, and reasoning skills.
  • Contribute to enrichment activities and the wider life of the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A certified teaching qualification (e.g., B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent) from a UK university.
  • A relevant degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics in a British curriculum school.
  • Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.
  • High motivation and a passion for teaching Mathematics.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience preparing students for Key Stage 3 progression.
  • Proven experience teaching in the UK.
  • Recent UK or international school experience.
  • Child protection training.
