The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality maths lessons that engage students and promote deep understanding.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement effective teaching and learning strategies across the faculty.
  • Support the continuous improvement of maths education through professional development and peer collaboration.
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure all learners achieve their full potential.
  • Work closely with the senior leadership team to contribute to school improvement and policy development.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to students, helping them build confidence and a positive attitude towards maths.
  • Stay up to date with current educational research and incorporate innovative teaching methods into the classroom.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status in the UK
  • Proven experience teaching mathematics in a secondary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge in mathematics
  • Evidence of recent and relevant professional development
  • Commitment to student achievement and inclusion

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers
  • Accredited Lead Practitioner status or working towards it
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Familiarity with evidence-based teaching practices
