Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons to students from Year 7 to 13.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that engage and challenge students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of the mathematics curriculum.
  • Support the pastoral and academic development of students within a boarding and day school setting.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning of departmental initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with developments in mathematics education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
  • Assist with extracurricular activities related to mathematics where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in mathematics.
  • Experience teaching mathematics at secondary level, ideally across multiple key stages.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and the values of a boarding and day school.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture.

Preferred

  • Experience with digital education tools and EdTech integration.
  • Previous leadership or mentoring experience within a school setting.
  • Experience in teacher training or ECT (Early Career Teacher) programmes.
  • Passion for fostering a love of mathematics in students.
