Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons to students from Year 7 to 13.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that engage and challenge students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of the mathematics curriculum.
- Support the pastoral and academic development of students within a boarding and day school setting.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning of departmental initiatives.
- Stay up to date with developments in mathematics education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
- Assist with extracurricular activities related to mathematics where appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in mathematics.
- Experience teaching mathematics at secondary level, ideally across multiple key stages.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and the values of a boarding and day school.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive school culture.
Preferred
- Experience with digital education tools and EdTech integration.
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience within a school setting.
- Experience in teacher training or ECT (Early Career Teacher) programmes.
- Passion for fostering a love of mathematics in students.
