The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Maths Teacher to join our dedicated team and support students in achieving success at GCSE. The role offers the opportunity to teach Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Mathematics, with the potential to also teach Science and Further Maths. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher or an NQT with full statutory induction support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Support students in achieving excellent GCSE results through differentiated teaching and targeted intervention.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning and delivery of the curriculum.
  • Encourage student engagement and enthusiasm for Mathematics through innovative teaching methods.
  • Provide pastoral support and contribute to the school’s commitment to student well-being.
  • Be flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities, such as teaching Science or Further Maths.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Mathematics education.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Experience of teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Mathematics.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for Mathematics education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Science to Years 7 & 8.
  • Experience teaching Further Maths GCSE and Statistics GCSE.
  • NQT with full statutory induction support.
  • Familiarity with co-curricular and pastoral support roles.
