Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science across Key Stage 3 and 4, with the potential to specialise at Key Stage 5.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that challenge and inspire students.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Twynham Learning Science curriculum.
  • Support students in achieving excellent outcomes in Science subjects.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children in line with the school's policies.
  • Engage students through innovative and impactful extra-curricular activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and student achievement.
  • Participate in a comprehensive induction and professional development programme.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Science education.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-informed teaching.
  • Ability to support student welfare and safeguarding.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to contribute to extra-curricular activities.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching GCSE Double and Triple Award Science.
  • Background in delivering A Level Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
  • Experience with the AAQ in Medical Science.
  • Commitment to professional development and leadership opportunities.
  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
