The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science to students across Key Stage 3 and 4, delivering engaging and challenging lessons.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the Science curriculum, including the new AAQ in Medical Science.
  • Support students in achieving excellent outcomes and preparing for further study or careers in Science and related fields.
  • Deliver high-quality extra-curricular opportunities that enhance student engagement and learning.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching practices and student achievement.
  • Promote and safeguard the welfare of students in line with the school’s policies.
  • Participate in professional development and continuing training opportunities.
  • Contribute to the school’s vision for education and community impact.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Science Teacher with relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Science curriculum at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
  • Commitment to evidence-informed teaching practices.
  • Ability to inspire and engage students in Science learning.
  • Experience in delivering extra-curricular Science activities.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching A Level Science subjects.
  • Previous involvement in teacher training or professional development.
  • Experience with the Bournemouth Bay Teacher Training Partnership.
  • Background in working within a multi-academy trust or federation.
