Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging mathematics lessons that foster curiosity and critical thinking.
- Support students of all abilities, from those requiring additional support to those aiming for top university placements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and teaching strategies.
- Lead and participate in extracurricular activities, including maths challenges, competitions, and enrichment events.
- Monitor and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching and support individual learning needs.
- Contribute to the development of the school’s mathematics curriculum and pedagogy.
- Mentor and support younger colleagues as part of a collaborative and professional team.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practice and subject knowledge.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level, preferably in a selective school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging and challenging lessons.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and collaborative working.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience with GCSE and A-level Mathematics curricula.
- Familiarity with maths competitions and enrichment activities.
- Experience in mentoring or leading professional development sessions.
- Knowledge of using IT and digital tools to support teaching and learning.
