Summary:

Design & Technology Teacher needed for a full-time permanent role starting in September 2026.

The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic department offering a wide range of Design & Technology and Engineering courses from Key Stage 3 through to A’Level. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and motivated teacher to make a meaningful impact on students’ learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Design & Technology and Engineering courses.
  • Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential through engaging and innovative lessons.
  • Support the delivery of Vocational Awards in Construction, Hospitality and Catering.
  • Contribute to the development of the department’s curriculum and teaching resources.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity and problem-solving.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistent standards of teaching and learning.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback to support learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
  • Experience teaching Design & Technology at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching A’Level Product Design or AAQ Engineering.
  • Experience with vocational qualifications in Construction or Catering.
  • Background in supporting Early Career Teachers.
  • Experience with Continuing Professional Development (CPD) initiatives.
