The Opportunity:

A MFL Teacher is needed to join a dynamic learning area and teach Spanish and French. This role offers flexibility in FTE and the chance to contribute to a school with a strong commitment to student achievement and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in Spanish and French across key stages.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student achievement and progress.
• Support students in developing language skills through a variety of teaching methods.
• Monitor and assess student performance to ensure consistent progress and achievement.
• Participate in the school’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the MFL department’s impact and effectiveness.
• Encourage independent learning and extend students’ skills beyond the classroom.
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events where appropriate.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and QTS.
• Experience teaching MFL, specifically Spanish and French.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching languages.
• Ability to work flexibly within a 0.4 to 0.6 FTE capacity.
• Commitment to student achievement and professional growth.

Preferred

• Experience with curriculum development and leadership opportunities.
• Familiarity with modern teaching techniques and technologies.
• Experience in a school with a strong focus on student behaviour and academic outcomes.
