Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with specific learning difficulties and English as an additional language.
  • Deliver high-quality, individualized learning support tailored to student needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other support services to ensure a cohesive approach to student development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to colleagues and parents.
  • Contribute to the pastoral and extra-curricular life of the school.
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A recognised qualification in SEND, SpLD, or EAL.
  • Experience in supporting students with specific learning difficulties and English as an additional language.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience working with students aged 11 to 18.
  • Ability to teach younger pupils.
  • Experience in a school or educational setting with a strong pastoral focus.
