As a Modern Languages Curriculum Leader (Spanish), you will play a key role in shaping the language learning experience for students. You will lead and inspire others, driving the curriculum forward and ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the Spanish curriculum to ensure it meets the highest standards and supports student achievement.
  • Support and mentor colleagues to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate language learning across the curriculum.
  • Organise and deliver professional development sessions for staff.
  • Work closely with students, parents and external partners to promote language learning and cultural awareness.
  • Contribute to the school’s strategic development and ensure alignment with the school’s vision and values.
  • Manage resources, budgets and timetables effectively to support the curriculum.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Modern Languages, specifically Spanish.
  • Proven leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to inclusion, diversity and student achievement.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum leadership or management.
  • Experience with teaching at both Key Stage 3 and 4.
  • Experience in leading or supporting extracurricular activities related to language learning.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
