Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Maths department, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student achievement and engagement in Maths.
- Support and mentor Maths teachers to enhance their professional development.
- Monitor and assess the effectiveness of teaching and learning in Maths.
- Collaborate with other subject leaders and senior staff to drive school improvement.
- Ensure the curriculum is up to date and aligned with national standards.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Work closely with students to identify and support those needing additional help in Maths.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Maths education.
- Proven leadership experience within a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of Maths curriculum and assessment practices.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to student achievement and professional development.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a department or team.
- Experience in school improvement or curriculum development.
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and inspection processes.
- Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
