Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of high-quality care and education to children in a safe and stimulating environment.
- Assist in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages emotional, social, and educational development.
- Participate in planning and delivering group and individual activities that support children's learning and development.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.
- Follow safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
- Support the implementation of the nursery’s curriculum and learning goals.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and positive learning experience for children.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A level 2 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
- Minimum of Grade C/4 in Maths and English GCSE.
- Excellent communication skills with both adults and children.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A patient, empathetic, and approachable personality.
- Understanding of child development and early years best practices.
Preferred
- Experience in early years education or childcare settings.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar qualifications.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Apprentice rate of £8.00 per hour (£15,433 per annum).
- Fixed term apprenticeship for 18 months, with 37 hours of work per week.
