The Opportunity:

As a Nursery Apprentice, you will contribute to a high-quality, caring environment for children, supporting their emotional, social, and educational development through engaging activities and individual attention. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of high-quality care and education to children in a safe and stimulating environment.
  • Assist in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that encourages emotional, social, and educational development.
  • Participate in planning and delivering group and individual activities that support children's learning and development.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a consistent and supportive approach.
  • Follow safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
  • Support the implementation of the nursery’s curriculum and learning goals.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and positive learning experience for children.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A level 2 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
  • Minimum of Grade C/4 in Maths and English GCSE.
  • Excellent communication skills with both adults and children.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • A patient, empathetic, and approachable personality.
  • Understanding of child development and early years best practices.

Preferred

  • Experience in early years education or childcare settings.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar qualifications.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Apprentice rate of £8.00 per hour (£15,433 per annum).
