The Opportunity:

As a School Business Leader, you will play a central role in managing the school’s business operations and contributing to the strategic direction of the institution. This is a high-impact position that requires leadership, strategic thinking, and a commitment to improving outcomes for students and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee financial operations, including budget planning, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Lead HR initiatives, including safer recruitment, staff development, and wellbeing support.
  • Ensure the maintenance and compliance of school estates and facilities.
  • Oversee health and safety protocols and statutory compliance.
  • Act as the school’s Data Protection Lead, managing data protection requirements.
  • Develop and implement the school’s digital strategy as the Digital Lead.
  • Manage contracts for key services, including catering, grounds maintenance, and IT.
  • Strengthen administrative systems and lead marketing and communications efforts.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in financial and operational leadership within an educational or similar setting.
  • Strong ability to manage people, processes, and complex projects.
  • Experience in compliance, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Commitment to the values and vision of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience within an educational setting.
  • Leadership experience in a senior management or leadership role.
