The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Creative Arts Teacher to join our dedicated team and deliver high-quality lessons in design & technology, food technology, and art. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons in design & technology, food technology, and art.
- Support students with moderate learning difficulties and ASD through differentiated teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a creative and stimulating curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school-wide initiatives.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress in line with school policies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in creative arts education.
- Proven ability to deliver lessons in design & technology, food technology, and art.
- Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices for students with moderate learning difficulties and ASD.
- Commitment to student welfare and a positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience working within a Multi Academy Trust or similar educational setting.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment strategies.
- Experience with teaching students with additional needs.
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum and SEND frameworks.
- Passion for creative arts and a commitment to student engagement and development.
