The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Creative Arts Teacher to join our dedicated team and deliver high-quality lessons in design & technology, food technology, and art. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons in design & technology, food technology, and art.
  • Support students with moderate learning difficulties and ASD through differentiated teaching strategies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a creative and stimulating curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and school-wide initiatives.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress in line with school policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in creative arts education.
  • Proven ability to deliver lessons in design & technology, food technology, and art.
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices for students with moderate learning difficulties and ASD.
  • Commitment to student welfare and a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience working within a Multi Academy Trust or similar educational setting.
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Experience with teaching students with additional needs.
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum and SEND frameworks.
  • Passion for creative arts and a commitment to student engagement and development.
