The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our dedicated team and support the care and development of children aged six months to four years. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an environment that values creativity, learning, and personal growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children aged six months to four years in a safe and stimulating environment.
  • Work closely with the Nursery Manager and other team members to ensure the smooth running of daily activities and routines.
  • Deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences tailored to the needs of each child.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues to support the holistic development of children.
  • Maintain a warm, welcoming, and positive atmosphere that encourages learning and personal growth.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in line with school policies and legal requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of resources and learning environments.
  • Support the transition of children into Reception class in the year prior to their fifth birthday.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working in a school or nursery setting with children aged six months to four years.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school setting with a focus on early years education.
  • Knowledge of child development and play-based learning.
  • Experience with parents and the ability to build positive relationships.
  • Confidence in managing small groups of children and leading activities.
