The Opportunity:

As an Occupational Therapist, you will support children aged 2–18 with a range of sensory, motor, and functional needs in a school-based setting. This role focuses on collaborative, classroom-based practice, including push-in intervention and working closely with teaching teams to promote independence and participation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and provide occupational therapy services for students aged 2–18
  • Administer and interpret a range of standardized and informal OT assessments
  • Develop and implement functional, child-centred intervention plans
  • Deliver individual, small-group, and push-in OT sessions within the classroom
  • Work closely with teachers and assistant teachers to embed sensory and motor strategies into daily routines
  • Support sensory regulation, fine and gross motor development, self-care, and access to learning
  • Collaborate with families and the multidisciplinary team
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy (Master’s degree an advantage)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with children and young people with special needs in clinical or school settings
  • Experience working across a broad age range (2–18)

Preferred

  • Training in Sensory Integration
