Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver lesson plans aligned with the Ontario Curriculum and school standards.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of students and ensure academic progress.
  • Assess student performance and provide regular feedback to support learning and development.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and respect.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students to support student success and well-being.
  • Attend professional development sessions and participate in school meetings to enhance teaching practices.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior.
  • Manage classroom discipline and promote a culture of respect and responsibility.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Native speaker with a valid passport from the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Ireland, or South Africa.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, along with an internationally recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
  • Minimum of 3 years of international teaching experience, preferably at the secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to meet student needs.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Familiarity with the Ontario Curriculum and international education standards.
  • Experience in safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
  • Cultural awareness and experience working in diverse educational settings.
