Part Time English Teacher 0.5 FTE – Teach GCSE and A Level English in a dynamic school environment.

The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Part Time English Teacher to join our department and deliver high-quality teaching at both GCSE and A Level. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes while contributing to a vibrant and inclusive school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons to both GCSE and A Level students.
- Support the development of students' academic and personal skills, with a focus on public examinations.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of the English curriculum, including assessment and marking.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance departmental performance.
- Participate in pastoral and co-curricular activities, reflecting the school’s holistic approach to education.
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular feedback to students and parents.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular and community events.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in teaching English at GCSE and A Level.
- Strong subject knowledge and a proven track record of achieving excellent examination results.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take on additional responsibilities as required.
- Commitment to the school’s values and ethos, including pastoral care and co-curricular involvement.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching at both GCSE and A Level.
- Familiarity with the school’s curriculum and assessment methods.
- Experience in pastoral or co-curricular roles within a school setting.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, particularly in a part-time role.
