The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Part Time English Teacher to join a dynamic team and inspire students in Years 7 to 13. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on young learners and support their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality English lessons to students in Years 7 to 13.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through engaging and innovative teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the English curriculum, including GCSE and A Level courses.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and creativity.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance student outcomes and school performance.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback and support.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in English education.
  • Experience teaching students in Years 7 to 13.
  • Strong subject knowledge in English literature and language.
  • Commitment to student welfare and pastoral care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with GCSE and A Level English courses.
  • Familiarity with Pearson and Edexcel curricula.
  • Experience working in a school with a strong pastoral and academic ethos.
  • Demonstrable success in raising student achievement and engagement.
