The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Teacher of Law to join our dedicated team and support students in the 6th Form. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ futures and contribute to a school that values innovation, tradition, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the AQA Law syllabus.
  • Support students in achieving their academic potential through effective teaching and pastoral care.
  • Develop and implement individualised learning plans to meet the needs of all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the learning experience and contribute to departmental initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development activities.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and senior staff.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching Law at A Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge of the AQA Law syllabus.
  • Proven ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching within a school setting with a strong pastoral ethos.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience with pastoral support and student mentoring.
  • Ability to contribute to extracurricular activities and school events.
