The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time English Teacher to join our Secondary School team. This role is ideal for someone who is committed to inspiring students aged 11-14 and who values strong relationships, academic excellence, and a supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students aged 11-14.
  • Support students in developing strong communication, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the faculty to ensure curriculum continuity and shared teaching goals.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of exam courses, including GCSE, A Level, and IB.
  • Participate in professional learning opportunities and after-school meetings to enhance teaching practice.
  • Engage with students in extra-curricular activities and school events, including residential trips.
  • Utilize ICT tools effectively, including Microsoft OneNote and Teams, to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in teaching English at the Secondary level.
  • Ability to teach English to students aged 11-14.
  • Commitment to fostering a values-driven, inclusive, and collaborative learning environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching GCSE, A Level, or IB English courses.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft OneNote and Teams.
  • Experience working in an international school setting.
  • Background in supporting students with English as an additional language.
