The Opportunity:
A part-time MFL Teacher is sought to teach Spanish to A-level and French up to GCSE. This role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic, supportive Faculty and make a meaningful impact on students’ learning journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Spanish to A-level (KS5) and French up to GCSE (KS4) pupils, depending on Faculty needs.
- Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and engage students across different year groups.
- Support the development of a creative and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Faculty’s academic and co-curricular offerings.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
- Participate in the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular and pastoral activities.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Stay up to date with developments in MFL education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree in Languages or a suitably relevant subject at Bachelor's level or higher.
- Experience teaching A-level Spanish and French up to GCSE.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Willingness to undergo child protection screening, including an enhanced DBS check.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Preferred
- Native speaker of French or Spanish with teaching experience.
- Experience with teaching in a specialist music school or similar environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience with bursary and scholarship programmes.
