The Opportunity:

A part-time MFL Teacher is sought to teach Spanish to A-level and French up to GCSE. This role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic, supportive Faculty and make a meaningful impact on students’ learning journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Spanish to A-level (KS5) and French up to GCSE (KS4) pupils, depending on Faculty needs.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and engage students across different year groups.
  • Support the development of a creative and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Faculty’s academic and co-curricular offerings.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Participate in the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular and pastoral activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Stay up to date with developments in MFL education and incorporate innovative teaching methods.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Languages or a suitably relevant subject at Bachelor's level or higher.
  • Experience teaching A-level Spanish and French up to GCSE.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Willingness to undergo child protection screening, including an enhanced DBS check.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Preferred

  • Native speaker of French or Spanish with teaching experience.
  • Experience with teaching in a specialist music school or similar environment.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience with bursary and scholarship programmes.
