The Opportunity:

As a Personal Assistant to the Head of Prep School, you will play a key role in supporting the Head in managing their office and ensuring the smooth operation of the Prep School. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and professional individual to contribute to the success of a prestigious institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage correspondence and administrative functions on behalf of the Head of Prep School.
  • Liaise with a wide range of individuals, agencies, and organisations.
  • Welcome visitors and provide accurate information about the school to parents, pupils, staff, and the public.
  • Handle enquiries via telephone and face to face with professionalism and discretion.
  • Support the Head in managing their schedule and ensuring efficient office operations.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports and documentation as required.
  • Maintain a high standard of organisation and communication in a busy school environment.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Prep School through proactive and supportive administrative work.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Confident and professional communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy school environment.
  • Experience in a senior administrative role, preferably within an educational setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and discretion.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational environment.
  • Familiarity with the role of a Head of School or similar leadership position.
  • Experience with managing a busy office and supporting senior leadership.
  • Knowledge of child safeguarding procedures and best practices.
  • Experience in a specialist music or co-curricular environment.
