The Opportunity:
As a Pastoral Tutor, you will play a key role in supporting students’ academic and personal development. You will provide 1:1 guidance, manage tutor groups, and contribute to the delivery of health and wellbeing services. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in students’ lives while working in a supportive and forward-thinking institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support a number of tutor groups, providing individualised pastoral care and academic guidance.
- Deliver tutorials on a range of topics, including UCAS, WEX, and ILPs, to multiple groups.
- Monitor and report on student progress and wellbeing, ensuring compliance with college policies.
- Support the Pastoral Leads in the continuous improvement of health and wellbeing services.
- Address student concerns, manage behavioural and attendance issues, and promote positive mental health.
- Participate in performance monitoring and share best practice with colleagues.
- Engage students in activities appropriate to their needs and support their personal development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Education to at least Level 3, with a degree preferred.
- Experience in Advanced Safeguarding training.
- Commitment to student wellbeing and health and wellbeing support.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple responsibilities.
Preferred
- Mental Health First Aid training.
- Experience in delivering tutorial sessions on a range of topics.
- Experience in student support services or pastoral care.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of £26,363 to £28,799 per annum.
