The Opportunity:

As a Pastoral Tutor, you will play a key role in supporting students’ academic and personal development. You will provide 1:1 guidance, manage tutor groups, and contribute to the delivery of health and wellbeing services. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in students’ lives while working in a supportive and forward-thinking institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support a number of tutor groups, providing individualised pastoral care and academic guidance.
  • Deliver tutorials on a range of topics, including UCAS, WEX, and ILPs, to multiple groups.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and wellbeing, ensuring compliance with college policies.
  • Support the Pastoral Leads in the continuous improvement of health and wellbeing services.
  • Address student concerns, manage behavioural and attendance issues, and promote positive mental health.
  • Participate in performance monitoring and share best practice with colleagues.
  • Engage students in activities appropriate to their needs and support their personal development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Education to at least Level 3, with a degree preferred.
  • Experience in Advanced Safeguarding training.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and health and wellbeing support.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple responsibilities.

Preferred

  • Mental Health First Aid training.
  • Experience in delivering tutorial sessions on a range of topics.
  • Experience in student support services or pastoral care.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range of £26,363 to £28,799 per annum.
