The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher for a 1-year fixed term role. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student development through a dynamic and well-resourced PE department. The successful candidate will contribute to a wide range of sports and activities, supporting students across all key stages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 to KS5, including GCSE and A level specifications.
  • Support the delivery of a broad and varied extra-curricular programme, including sports clubs and competitions.
  • Create engaging and challenging learning environments that cater to students of all abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the PE department’s performance and initiatives.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture, with a strong focus on student well-being.
  • Participate in school trips, events, and activities that enhance the student experience.
  • Ensure the effective use of school facilities, including sports halls, gyms, and playing fields.
  • Maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student progress and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a good honours degree in a related subject.
  • Ability to teach core PE across KS3 to KS5.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching GCSE and A level PE.
  • Involvement in extracurricular sports and activities.
  • Experience with a wide range of sports and physical activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
