Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons to KS3 students.
  • Support students in developing a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and problem-solving skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities.
  • Engage with parents and carers to support student learning and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong understanding of Mathematics curriculum and pedagogy
  • Experience in teaching Mathematics at KS3 level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively and promote positive behaviour
  • Commitment to student success and professional development

Preferred

  • Experience with KS3 curriculum development
  • Experience in working within a multi-academy trust
  • Experience with pupil engagement strategies
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or similar
