The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, knowledge-based PE lessons that inspire a love of physical activity and sport.
  • Work closely with students to improve attainment, progress, and standards at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Support students in developing their cultural capital and self-worth through engaging and inclusive PE activities.
  • Provide pastoral support and academic mentoring to a group of students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on shared planning and resource development.
  • Participate in professional development and coaching sessions to enhance teaching practice.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the PE curriculum and student engagement strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in PE.
  • Experience teaching Girls' PE at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Strong commitment to student outcomes and engagement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to team goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in pastoral support or academic mentoring.
  • Background in developing and delivering a broad and balanced PE curriculum.
  • Experience with continuous professional development and coaching.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement initiatives.
