The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated PE Teacher - Fixed Term to join our team and contribute to the continued success of our students. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student outcomes and to be part of a supportive and collaborative staff community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, knowledge-based PE lessons that inspire a love of physical activity and sport.
- Work closely with students to improve attainment, progress, and standards at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Support students in developing their cultural capital and self-worth through engaging and inclusive PE activities.
- Provide pastoral support and academic mentoring to a group of students.
- Collaborate with colleagues on shared planning and resource development.
- Participate in professional development and coaching sessions to enhance teaching practice.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the PE curriculum and student engagement strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in PE.
- Experience teaching Girls' PE at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Strong commitment to student outcomes and engagement.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to team goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in pastoral support or academic mentoring.
- Background in developing and delivering a broad and balanced PE curriculum.
- Experience with continuous professional development and coaching.
- Familiarity with Ofsted standards and school improvement initiatives.
