As a Student Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and helping them reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with Special Educational Needs in a mainstream school setting
- Assist in developing individual learning plans and track student progress
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to help students achieve their academic and personal goals
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure consistent support
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities
- Contribute to the school’s mission of excellence for all students
- Help maintain a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all students
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Motivation and a true passion for all children to achieve their potential
- High expectations of yourself and the young people you support
- Excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills
- Initiative, dedication, and energy to contribute to a dynamic team
- A commitment to team working and the ability to build strong working relationships
Preferred
- Experience in working with students with Special Educational Needs
- Previous experience in a school or educational setting
- Aspiring teacher status or experience in education
- Knowledge of inclusive teaching practices
