Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons across all key stages, using well-resourced schemes of work.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages participation and personal development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and improve teaching strategies and resources.
  • Support students in developing physical skills, confidence, and a lifelong love of sport.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential.
  • Encourage participation in extra-curricular sports and physical activities.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of PE equipment and facilities.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through pastoral and community activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge and experience.
  • Experience of teaching PE at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience of teaching at Key Stage 5 (A Level).
  • Experience with extra-curricular sports programs.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching practices and differentiation.
