Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in achieving their full potential in French through engaging and structured lessons.
  • Work closely with experienced mentors to develop teaching skills and classroom management techniques.
  • Participate in a well-resourced curriculum and utilise detailed planning support to deliver high-quality lessons.
  • Engage in weekly subject-specific CPD and attend online and face-to-face training sessions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the United Learning group to enhance teaching and learning practices.
  • Attend learning walks and receive regular, specific feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to departmental meetings and planning sessions to ensure a cohesive and effective teaching approach.
  • Support the school’s mission to provide an inclusive and high-achieving education for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A minimum of a 2:2 degree in French or a related subject.
  • Commitment to completing the teacher training programme and achieving Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Eligibility for a bursary and access to tuition fee and maintenance loans.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching French or related subjects.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in education or teaching-related roles.
