The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of high-quality science lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Work closely with experienced mentors to develop teaching practice and classroom management skills.
- Engage in regular, research-based professional development and continuous improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school and within the United Learning network.
- Participate in curriculum planning and development, using well-resourced and structured teaching materials.
- Contribute to the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
- Attend training sessions with United Teaching, including online and face-to-face learning.
- Undertake learning walks and receive incremental feedback to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A minimum of a 2:2 degree in a relevant science subject.
- Commitment to gaining Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Ability to work in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or tutoring.
- Familiarity with science curriculum planning and delivery.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Passion for inspiring students and a commitment to education.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Bursary of £29,000, subject to eligibility.
