Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in achieving their full potential in Maths through high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Work closely with experienced mentors to develop your teaching practice and classroom management skills.
  • Access a well-structured and scaffolded Maths curriculum to aid in lesson planning and delivery.
  • Participate in both online and face-to-face training sessions with United Teaching, including protected time for professional development.
  • Collaborate with other trainees and colleagues across the United Learning group to enhance your teaching practice.
  • Engage in regular, research-based CPD opportunities to build your knowledge and skills.
  • Attend learning walks and receive specific feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Work with behaviour and inclusion teams to support the individual needs of students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A minimum of a 2:2 degree.
  • Commitment to developing as an effective classroom practitioner.
  • Eligibility for a bursary of £29,000, subject to criteria.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Previous teaching or educational experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
