The Opportunity:
As a Photography Assistant, you will support the Photography Department in delivering high-quality lessons and providing supervision to students. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about photography and eager to develop their skills in a supportive and innovative educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and delivering photography lessons and workshops.
- Support students during and outside of lessons with technical and creative guidance.
- Help maintain and manage photography equipment and resources.
- Collaborate with department staff to enhance the curriculum and student experience.
- Provide feedback and support to students to help them develop their photographic skills.
- Contribute to the development of creative projects and events.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Assist with the organisation of school events and media projects.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree in Photography, Media Arts, or a related field.
- Strong technical and creative skills in photography.
- Experience working with students or in an educational setting.
- Ability to work part-time, typically 3 days a week during term-time.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or educational environment.
- Knowledge of industry-standard photography software and equipment.
- A passion for teaching and sharing photography skills with students.
- Flexibility and the ability to work as part of a team.
