The Opportunity:
Join a dynamic and growing school as a Prep School Teacher on a fixed term contract. This role offers the chance to inspire young learners and contribute to a well-rounded education. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the academic and personal development of pupils in the Prep School.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach across all curriculum subjects to KS2 students.
- Deliver engaging and creative lessons that foster a love of learning.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Support the school’s co-curricular programme and wider community activities.
- Uphold high standards of behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Stay up to date with current teaching initiatives and curriculum developments.
- Contribute to the professional growth of the teaching team.
- Work collaboratively with other staff to achieve the school’s educational goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in primary or prep school education.
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and recent teaching initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain discipline.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Willingness to contribute to the co-curricular programme.
Preferred
- Experience with teaching in a co-educational setting.
- Background in Methodist or Christian values-based education.
- Familiarity with independent school standards and expectations.
- Experience with pupil assessment and learning support strategies.
