The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic and growing school as a Prep School Teacher on a fixed term contract. This role offers the chance to inspire young learners and contribute to a well-rounded education. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the academic and personal development of pupils in the Prep School.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach across all curriculum subjects to KS2 students.
  • Deliver engaging and creative lessons that foster a love of learning.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Support the school’s co-curricular programme and wider community activities.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Stay up to date with current teaching initiatives and curriculum developments.
  • Contribute to the professional growth of the teaching team.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to achieve the school’s educational goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in primary or prep school education.
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and recent teaching initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively and maintain discipline.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Willingness to contribute to the co-curricular programme.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching in a co-educational setting.
  • Background in Methodist or Christian values-based education.
  • Familiarity with independent school standards and expectations.
  • Experience with pupil assessment and learning support strategies.
