The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Computer Science Teacher who can inspire and lead in a dynamic department. This role offers the opportunity to take on a Subject Leader position and shape the future of Computer Science education at the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Computer Science lessons at GCSE and A Level standards.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking in students.
  • Support the development of the Prep Department and contribute to cross-curricular initiatives.
  • Lead and manage a team of teachers, providing guidance and mentorship where needed.
  • Design and deliver extra-curricular activities that enhance student engagement with STEAM subjects.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
  • Promote and maintain the school’s strong academic record in Computer Science.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Computer Science at GCSE and A Level.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
  • Willingness to contribute to the wider school community and support the Prep Department.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a department or taking on a Subject Leader role.
  • Familiarity with new developments in technology and coding.
  • Background in STEAM education or extra-curricular programme development.
  • Experience with teaching students of diverse abilities and backgrounds.
