The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver the curriculum in line with the British curriculum framework for the assigned grade.
  • Develop and submit lesson plans for review and approval by academic coordinators.
  • Adjust teaching strategies based on feedback and student progress.
  • Stay updated with current teaching practices and integrate innovative learning technologies into classroom instruction.
  • Create engaging learning experiences that promote student achievement and a positive classroom environment.
  • Design worksheets, assessments, and other learning materials aligned with curriculum objectives.
  • Mark and provide timely feedback on student assignments and assessments.
  • Record and report on student progress, attainment, and behaviour in accordance with school policies.
  • Identify students requiring additional support and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities, school events, and professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and safeguarding of all students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and enhance teaching approaches.
  • Communicate effectively with parents during meetings and as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Primary Education or a related field.
  • PGCE / PGDE with QTS or equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a British curriculum school.
  • Proven experience teaching in the primary phase.
  • Strong understanding of the UK primary curriculum and assessment practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality teaching and learning.

Preferred

  • Experience with teaching English as a second language.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with digital learning tools and technologies.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience within an educational setting.
