Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with special educational needs.
- Incorporate innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance learning outcomes.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, using data to refine and improve teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create inclusive and interdisciplinary learning experiences.
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school-wide events to contribute to the school’s vibrant culture.
- Stay updated with educational advancements and take part in professional development opportunities.
- Work closely with parents and support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment for students.
- Develop individualized learning plans that reflect the unique needs and aspirations of each student.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or equivalent teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PGDE, QTS).
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a special needs setting.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Experience with the IB curriculum is desirable but not essential.
Preferred
- A passion for education and a commitment to nurturing each student’s potential.
- A strong understanding of best practices in special needs education and technology-enhanced learning.
- Proven ability to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Experience in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and colleagues.
