The Opportunity:

As a Primary SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in a dynamic and inclusive school setting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to the needs of students with SEND
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to support student progress and well-being
  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons aligned with the UK curriculum for primary education
  • Use a variety of assessment tools to monitor student development and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that values diversity and encourages student growth
  • Participate in professional development and stay updated on best practices in SEND education
  • Support students in achieving academic, social, and emotional goals through personalized instruction
  • Work closely with the Learning Support and Enrichment department to ensure a cohesive approach to student support

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Graduate Certificate in Education or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably with SEND students
  • Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum for primary education
  • Ability to create and implement individualized learning plans
  • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teachers, parents, and specialists

Preferred

  • Experience with assessment tools and adaptive teaching strategies
  • Familiarity with Islamic values and Western educational practices
  • Proficiency in using emerging technology in the classroom
  • Experience in fostering inclusive classroom environments
  • Commitment to continuous professional development in SEND education
