Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Geography lessons to students across Key Stages 3 to 5, including IB and A Level.
• Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies that align with the school's curriculum.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental performance and student outcomes.
• Participate in the planning and delivery of co-curricular and extracurricular activities related to Geography.
• Stay up to date with current developments in Geography education and incorporate them into teaching practice.
• Support students in achieving their full potential through personalized guidance and mentorship.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of student performance and attendance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Geography or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
• Proven experience teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 to 5, including IB and A Level.
• Minimum of 2 years post-qualification teaching experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience with the UK National Curriculum and International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme.
• Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and digital learning tools.
• Experience in co-curricular and extracurricular activities related to Geography.
• Demonstrated success in achieving outstanding student results and engagement.
