Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of learning in KS2 students.
  • Work closely with colleagues across key stages to support smooth transitions and continuous progress in student learning.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support to help students reach their full potential.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives that contribute to a supportive and innovative learning culture.
  • Engage in extra-curricular activities and pastoral care to support the holistic development of students.
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that reflects the school’s values and mission.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a valid teaching qualification and relevant experience.
  • Experience of teaching in the primary phase, with a preference for Year 6.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience with Early Career Teachers and supporting their professional development.
  • Familiarity with a values-based curriculum and Aspire values.
  • Experience in delivering engaging, cross-curricular lessons.
  • Ability to contribute to extra-curricular activities and school events.
