The Opportunity:
A Part Time Science Teacher is needed to join a dynamic and high-achieving department. The role offers the chance to inspire students and contribute to a thriving Science community. The successful candidate will play a key part in delivering high-quality Science education across KS3 and KS4.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Support students in achieving their full potential through a modular approach and summative assessments.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of extra-curricular Science activities, such as STEM clubs and Olympiad competitions.
- Work collaboratively with the Science team and technicians to enhance student engagement and outcomes.
- Provide constructive feedback and participate in staff development and appraisal processes.
- Promote a culture of excellence, inclusion, and continuous improvement within the Science department.
- Support students in making informed choices about further study and career pathways in Science.
- Maintain accurate records and assessments in line with school procedures and standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Science teacher with experience teaching KS3 and KS4.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for Science education.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and take on additional responsibilities when required.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering extra-curricular Science activities.
- Familiarity with the Collins Scheme of Work and modular teaching approaches.
- Experience with STEM initiatives or Olympiad competitions.
- Previous experience in a high-achieving school or similar educational setting.
