As Principal, you will lead a dynamic school through a significant transition into the Harris Federation. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide visionary leadership to ensure high-quality teaching and learning across all subjects
  • Implement and monitor strategies to raise student achievement and improve educational outcomes
  • Foster a positive school ethos that promotes high expectations, effective teaching, and strong relationships
  • Collaborate with staff, governors, and parents to develop and implement policies that support student success
  • Ensure effective use of resources, staff, and facilities to support the school's strategic goals
  • Lead the transition to the Harris Federation, maintaining stability and ambition for all stakeholders
  • Promote the school's curriculum and extracurricular activities to support students' personal and social development
  • Ensure rigorous review of school performance and maintain strong links with the wider community

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in senior leadership, ideally as a Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher
  • Demonstrated ability to raise attainment and improve educational outcomes
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development, assessment, and school improvement strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and high expectations for all students
  • Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant degree or further professional studies
  • Relevant Further Degree or NPQH qualification

Preferred

  • Experience working within a multi-academy trust or similar structure
  • Leadership experience in curriculum development and evaluation
  • Familiarity with the Harris Federation’s educational model and values
