The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership to ensure the school achieves outstanding outcomes for all students.
  • Implement and refine the school’s strategic direction in collaboration with the Trust Executive, Governors, and staff.
  • Drive the CALIBRE curriculum across all levels of the school to ensure consistent quality and impact.
  • Develop and execute a student recruitment strategy that reflects the needs of the local community.
  • Promote the school’s vision, ethos, and values to all stakeholders and the wider community.
  • Uphold high standards of accountability, integrity, and transparency in all school operations.
  • Foster strong external relationships with other schools, institutions, and employers to enhance student opportunities.
  • Support and lead staff development through structured professional learning and coaching initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in leading a secondary school across the full age range (11-18).
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and students.
  • Demonstrated success in driving school improvement and raising academic standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with all stakeholders.
  • A clear understanding of school improvement strategies and the ability to implement change effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience in working within a multi-academy trust or similar educational structure.
  • Familiarity with the CALIBRE curriculum and its implementation.
  • Experience in managing large-scale projects or leading strategic initiatives.
  • A commitment to inclusion and supporting students with special educational needs.
