The Opportunity:

As a Learning Support Assistant - Secondary, you will make a meaningful impact on the lives of students with additional educational needs. You will support students in lessons, assist with targeted interventions, and help meet the care needs of students with physical disabilities in a supportive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students with additional educational needs during lessons and interventions.
• Assist with the delivery of targeted learning support programs.
• Provide care and support to students with physical disabilities.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and the support department to ensure student needs are met.
• Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Participate in staff development and training opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and support.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Experience working with students with additional educational needs.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Ability to work flexibly within a team environment.
• Basic knowledge of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) support.

Preferred

• Experience in a school or educational setting.
• Knowledge of specific SEND specialisms or subject areas.
• Experience with physical care support for students with disabilities.
• Previous experience in a similar support role within secondary education.
