The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated School Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the school. This role is essential to supporting the school’s mission and ensuring a positive experience for students and staff alike.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitise all surfaces, fixtures, and fittings across the school.
• Dust, polish, and maintain cleanliness in classrooms and communal areas.
• Ensure kitchenettes and toilet areas are kept clean and well-stocked.
• Vacuum, wash, and maintain floors in all areas.
• Manage waste by emptying and cleaning bins regularly.
• Report any shortages of cleaning supplies to the admin team.
• Maintain a safe and hygienic environment by following health and safety protocols.
• Contribute to the overall cleanliness and organisation of the school when required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Good level of physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks.
• Experience using a range of cleaning equipment and products.
• Understanding of health and safety legislation or willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Preferred

• First Aid Certificate.
• Knowledge of COSHH regulations and safe chemical use.
• Experience in a school or similar environment.
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive hourly rate between £13.22 and £13.75.
• Term time only, 10 hours per week.
