The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Science Teacher to join a supportive and dynamic Science Faculty. This role offers the chance to inspire students and foster a deep love for science, making a meaningful impact on young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality science lessons that engage and challenge students.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to support student learning and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver a cohesive and impactful science curriculum.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
- Support students in developing practical and theoretical knowledge in science.
- Encourage student curiosity and a lifelong interest in scientific inquiry.
- Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment in the science laboratory.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Science.
- Experience in teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for Science education.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering science lessons to a range of ability levels.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technology in Science education.
- Experience in curriculum development or leadership within a Science department.
- Previous involvement in extracurricular science activities or STEM initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive salary range of MPS/UPS £32,916 - £51,048 per annum.
