The Opportunity:

As a Science Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. You will be part of a dynamic team focused on achieving exceptional outcomes and engaging students in science through innovative teaching and enrichment activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality science lessons to students at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Support student learning through the use of state-of-the-art laboratory and IT facilities.
  • Participate in enrichment and STEM activities that enhance student engagement and interest in science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of science education within the school and across the learning trust.
  • Work closely with technicians to ensure the smooth running of science lessons and practical activities.
  • Support student progress through regular assessment, feedback, and personalized learning plans.
  • Engage with external partners, including museums, universities, and science centers, to enhance the science curriculum.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Science education.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science, with the ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Commitment to student success and a passion for Science education.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Experience in working within a collaborative team environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with enrichment and STEM activities.
  • Experience in working with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Leadership potential and a willingness to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
