Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and stimulating mathematics lessons across all ability levels and age ranges.
- Provide academic tutoring to a small group of students, supporting their learning and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative teaching methods and share best practices.
- Stay up to date with current educational trends and incorporate new approaches into teaching.
- Encourage a love of mathematics and support students in achieving their full potential.
- Contribute to the development of the Mathematics Department through active participation in meetings and events.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A strong degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- A teaching qualification such as a PGCE, or the ability and willingness to work towards one.
- Experience in teaching mathematics at a relevant level, or the potential to demonstrate strong classroom practice.
- The ability to teach across a range of ability levels and age groups.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Further Maths and/or the International Baccalaureate (IB).
- Previous experience in a school setting, particularly within an independent or boarding school.
- A passion for mathematics and a commitment to inspiring the next generation of mathematicians.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
